Global Product & Solutions creation (GPSC)
Introduction of new products into the marketplace by product organizations, or rolling out new applications by IT departments, generates an ongoing need to continuously develop and upgrade products and applications to meet the competitive needs of customers.
To maintain a competitive advantage, the software development cycle must include:
- Business plan creation
- Prove concept through Proof of Concept (POC) development
- Planning, designing, developing and testing the complete scope
- Deploying and/or selling and supporting the software solution
- Reassessing the business plan, analyzing gaps in features and functionality and then repeating this cycle
To grow revenue and enhance position in the market, software product organizations must actively address the following:
- Reduce the time to market/operation
- Reduce cost-of-development
- Continuously meet growing needs for skilled personnel in all areas of software development
- Retain skilled personnel
To manage these challenges, software product organizations require partners who can meet the challenges head on with efficient and effective solutions.
Jiffy's Product Development Services address our client's needs by offering:
- New product development
- Product reengineering and modularization
- Rapid prototyping and proof of concepts
- Existing product enhancement and maintenance

Global Delivery Framework
Jiffy carries out all software development using its Global Delivery Framework. Our professionals possess the expertise to plan, design, build, test, and implement solutions that would be fully integrated into our customers business process and system environment.
Jiffy's Tollgate methodology provides project controls for the client with built in process of "Review, Feedback and Approval" prior to migrating to the subsequent project phase. Through this methodology Jiffy engages with organizations in a phased method to deliver superior results.
The Approach
Jiffy uses a three-phased approach for its Product Development services to address the lifecycle needs. Assessment The Assessment phase involves activities such as defining application requirements, a high-level design, and a project plan for development, staging and rollout. Proof-of-Concept (POC) The Proof-of-Concept Phase provides an initial view of the product/software solution and is an intermediate delivery stage. The activities in this phase include preparing a detailed project plan of prioritized POC features, design, development, testing and packaging of the POC. Product Launch The Product Launch phase involves activities such as preparing a project plan, a design document of the product features planned for launch, followed by a completely coded, tested and packaged solution with installation and release documents (including on-line documentation for functionality and context-sensitive help) as an alpha-ready product. Ongoing progress reports are submitted at every stage of our work. Our processes also take into account change and risk management functions. The alpha-level software is deployed at the customer's site and progressively moved through to a beta and Gold Master release of the solution. Throughout the project lifecycle, Jiffy follows project and change management practices. To ensure that the project delivery teams carry a consistent understanding of requirements and to be updated on project status, regular communication between the Jiffy project team and clients are performed through:
